About this opportunity
LA2050 is a initiative to drive and track progress toward a shared vision for the future of Los Angeles. Our vision is that Los Angeles in 2050 will be the best place to learn, connect, play, create and the healthiest place to live.
Last year, we finalized our goals with your input through #LA2050Listens events and conversations, which are a series of interactions led by local organizations to solicit feedback on the draft LA2050 goals from a broad and representative group of Angelenos.
This summer, we are releasing our latest report, Vision for a Successful Los Angeles, that tracks progress toward our shared vision for the future of Los Angeles. We plan to award up to ten $5,000 grants. Apply here for a $5,000 grant to host an #LA2050Listens event in your community to lead a conversation about the report. The events should be participatory and engaging, but the format and design are completely up to you.
We hope to learn what conversations around the reports are exciting to you, as well as whether there are additional data we might track, activations we might promote or strategies suggested by your community to accelerate progress.
Events should take place between now and October 20th, 2015. A summary of lessons learned from the event will be expected by December 8th. The report template is here: http://ow.ly/OxQQA.
You may download a reference copy of the grant application here: http://ow.ly/OxR1y.
Applications will be approved on a rolling basis until 12 noon PDT on August 4th, 2015, so apply early. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
